| Code of Conduct for an Au pair |
| I confirm that I have read, and that I understand, the expectations of myself as an Au pair, as defined by Aupair2u’s guidelines.
I confirm that I meet all the necessary requirements to participate in the cultural exchange programme to be an Au pair. I understand that the Au pair programme is a cultural exchange programme and not a contract of work. I understand that being an Au pair means being part of the I confirm that I have answered all questions honestly, and that all information provided in my application is true, and I have omitted nothing that may hold myself, Aupair2u or the host family in any form of disrepute. I shall notify Aupair2u immediately if there are any changes to the information included in my application. Upon agreement of placement between myself and my host family, I will await confirmation from Aupair2u before I commence travelling to my host family home. After confirmation of my placement, I shall stay in touch with my host family and shall inform them of my travel arrangements. Upon arrival in my host country, I shall discuss the daily or weekly routine with my host family. I understand that my childcare duties will be of primary importance and I shall carry them out in a caring and understanding manner at all times. This will include consulting in advance on any house rules set in place to discipline the child/ children. I understand that I shall be asked to undertake light household duties and to make a fair contribution to the cleanliness of the 'common' areas of my host family's home and I agree to keep my own room clean and tidy. I agree to adhere by all house rules set by the host family (e.g., use of telephone and any other amenities within the home, smoking, etc.).This will also apply to any visitors I have. During my stay I shall conduct myself in a manner which reflects positively upon my host family, my home country and Aupair2u. In the event I experience any difficulties with my host family that I cannot resolve with them I shall contact Aupair2u for advice and support. In the event that this results in an irresolvable situation then I will respect a two week notice period, having no change on my responsibilities or of those of my host family unless the host family agrees to dissolve either my responsibilities or my notice period.
I am aware that being an Au pair demands a high degree of vigilance and responsibility and I will perform my duties to the best of my ability.
